If you have a domain registration (no matter where it was registered), note that some domain registries (the organizations that maintain domain registration data to make sure no two registrars register the same domain name) are required by applicable laws to make certain information public for law enforcement. For example, the various registries are required by ICANN to have public contact information available via WHOIS for domain registrations. Other countries may or may not have similar policies for their respective domains.
